Description:

Our superwash sock sparkle 4 Ply yarn has a standard construction of 4/16nm with 400m (437 yds) per 100g. It is made with 78% Superwash Fine Merino, 20% Recycled Nylon and 2% Stellina. The merino fibres have been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore the knitted fabric will not ‘felt’ when dyed or washed. The merino is combined with a smaller percentage of recycled nylon, giving the knitted fabric extra durability and strength and making it harder wearing.

The fine merino gives natural elasticity and is beautifully soft, so not itchy or scratchy on the skin. The yarn is perfect for socks but can equally can be knitted into scarves, shawls or even baby garments which will feel soft next to the skin due to the fine merino used.

Both merino wool and nylon accept acid dyes so the yarn is perfect for dyeing and readily takes up the dye.
