Superwash Merino DK is a lovely standard DK weight yarn made from 100% superwashed merino meaning that the fibres have been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore will not ‘felt’ when dyed or washed. It is a great yarn for an easy-care garment. The merino is 21 micron and therefore very soft and not at all itchy or scratchy next to the skin. With a 4/9nm construction the yarn has lovely stitch definition and can be readily used in any pattern using a standard DK weight yarn.

​The merino is mulesing free and comes from South America. The yarn is 100% animal fibre and perfect for dyeing. The yarn is a good bright colour and would dye up well in subtle light shades or bright and vibrant colours. For bright vibrant colours we recommend using acid or natural dyes.
