A natural companion to our plied Superwash Merino bases, this single-ply version is spun from the same fine 21-micron merino fibers, offering next-to-skin softness and a smooth, lofty finish that’s ideal for hand-dyers and yarn businesses focused on artisanal colourwork.

Without the structure of multiple plies, Superwash Merino Worsted Single has a slightly more delicate feel and a subtle halo, giving it a soft, organic look once dyed and worked up. The single ply allows colour to sink in with nuance, producing rich tonal shifts and a painterly effect in the final skein—particularly well suited to semi-solids and low-immersion dyeing styles.

Though less resistant to abrasion than its plied counterpart, Superwash Merino Worsted Single excels in applications where texture and drape are key—such as shawls, cowls, lightweight garments, and accessories.
