Description:

One of our best sellers, our Superwash Sock is now also available in 50g hanks. Superwash Sock has a standard construction of 4/16nm with 200m (218 yds) per 50g. Made with 75% Superwashed Merino wool and 25% Nylon, the merino fibres have been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore will not ‘felt’ when dyed or washed. The merino is combined with a smaller percentage of nylon giving the knitted fabric extra durability and strength making it harder wearing. The merino gives natural elasticity and we deliberately use 21 micron merino fibres which are not itchy or scratchy on the skin.  The yarn is perfect for socks but can equally can be knitted into scarves, shawls or even baby garments which will feel soft next to the skin due to the fine micron merino used.

Both merino wool and nylon accept acid dyes so the yarn is perfect for dyeing and readily takes up the dye.
